You heard that right ! Dick and the crew just finished up their 2-day extravaganza at Le Zenith Theatre in central Paris ! While Paris has been known as a Swingin’ spot for generations, Dick and the Band put a new twist on things when they thrust themselves into a whole new scene. We’d like to thank the Parisian ladies for giving Dick and the boys a warm welcome as we bid Adeu to Paris and hello to Cleveland !

You heard that right ! Peter Zinner has agreed to tour with the band.

We’d like to thank our fans for the understanding and well wishes and assure everyone Haywood is well on the mend. Most of you know about that unfortunate accident in Big Beaver (PA) where Haywood Jablome–our star piano player–got injured. Dick and the boys loved Big Beaver but in the wee hours after the show while moving the piano for the short trip over to Beaver Falls Haywood unfortunately suffered a fracture of his right wrist. Haywood will always have an open invitation with the band, but it was a good time in his life to take a sabbatical and relax in his place in Big Beaver. We wish Haywood the best and welcome Peter as our new piano player !

Anyone who knows music has heard of the wonderful style of Peter and we look forward to him augmenting the band. Not to mention he’s quite a hit with the ladies having that bangin’ barroom piano style. We look forward to featuring Peter in some of our numbers on the road so be on the lookout for Peter Zinner as we tour the nation.

Next stop is Chippewa Falls, Iowa next Saturday night at the Rose Room — which will be the Mecca of society for one night only. So if you lady loves Peter Zinner be sure and bring her by to see Dick and the boys next Saturday !

Well, after a long needed Christmas/New Year break, the Swingin’ Dicks are getting ready to open ‘er up again with their 2023 blockbuster season. We have the regular crew onboard and are welcoming a new addition to our members–Shaye Verbevah. I think you’ll agree Shaye’s style is pretty slick; Dick and the boys have given her a warm welcome. Shaye’s style is a no-holes barred in your face jazz with plenty of spirit and spunk. We look forward to having her as a new featured soloist in the band. And think you’ll agree Shaye makes quite an impression !

We’ll be opening Sunday at our native Fort Worth location at 7 pm so come one and come all to our swingin’ extravaganza just across from Billy Bob’s in the famous Stockyard section of town.

You heard that right — Swingin’ Dick and the crew are branching out. Starting early 2023, Swingin’ Dick is proud to announce he’s opening the Swingin’ Dick College of Musical Knowledge. Offering an accredited degree in Bachelor of Arts — Music — as well as specialization in particular fields and instruments. The Swingin’ Dick department will be a part of the Diatomaceous-Johnson Institute of Technology and Dick will be the dean ! Our sub-section will be Dick’s Institute of Technology (Dick-IT). So don’t delay and reserve your slot today–send your daughters to college to spend time with the Swingin’ Dicks ! If you wish to tour the campus ahead of time, please just make your way over to the D-J administration building and tell them you need to get to Swingin’ Dick’s.

I’m sure most mothers know that their daughter will enjoy her college experience all that much more when it’s got a bunch of Swingin’ Dicks on campus.

Well, AFTER our rip-roaring session in Cuyohoga Falls, OH, Dick and the boys were returning to our beautiful hotel and unfortunately there were a group of nasty looking demonstrators outside yelling ‘my body my choice’ or some other LGBTQLMONP silliness. They accosted several band members; one particularly corpulent matron had on a “Proud Dyke” shirt (whatever that means; the only dykes Dick likes are the ones in Holland). In order to promote some levity to the situation, Dick decided to relate one of his famous limericks to the hostile ‘woman.’

“I once knew a lesbo named Spike

Who trucked her sex toys down the pike

When I asked a question

About her profession

Said she “I’m a fake-Dick-Van-Dyke !”

Apparently THIS individual possessed neither an eclectic streak nor a sense of humor……

In any case, it wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last time old Dick gets slapped !

And no harm done.

We look forward to our Saturday concert in Dubuque, IA at the Star Theater and are sure the good citizens of Dubuque won’t abuse Dick in this manner ! Come see Swingin’ Dick and enjoy that incredible Swingin’ Dick rhythm. When Swingin’ Dick’s around there’s ALWAYS much pleasure to be had.

Fresh from South Africa we’d like to welcome Shaav derBeever to the band ! Shaav will be augmenting our trumpet section during our next tour and we’re sure it will be great to see her out in public swingin’ away with her unique talent and style. So be sure and catch her in our next show scheduled for Dubuque, Iowa next weekend. We’re sure Shaav derBeever will be a perfect complement to the Swingin’ Dicks while they hit the road once again.

After a whirlwind tour of western Florida, Swingin’ Dick and the boys are sure bushed ! Playing at hopping venues in St. Pete, Tampa, Sarasota, and Palm Harbor sure had the folks out and swinging away. Dick’s gonna take the rest of the week off after he finishes up his mission over to Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Palm Springs. Seems these locations were short on both Turkey and on migrant workers to help the ‘settlers’ of these towns celebrate this wonderful American Holiday. So Dick’s back at the throttle leaving Belize today bound for Mexico City and then with some stops at these locations in the US can rest easy to enjoy Thanksgiving with his family. For the great citizens of Colorado and California, please welcome these newfound citizens to be who’ll be arriving later today and tonight to your table. We know you’ll be anxious to greet them and to offer them a permanent stay in your wonderful community ! Dick and the boys will be back on the road early in December so keep your eyes peeled–swingin’ Dick might just be coming to YOUR town soon so we invite you to dance with Dick; THE premier American Swing Band !

While it’s a sad day to have to say farewell to our good friend Dang-Lin Wang, we’ve welcomed the renown jazz guitar player Col. Angus to the Swingin’ Dicks ! The Col. has a bit of an edge to him, but we think you’ll agree really gets things going and adds that little bit of spunk to the band. With all of the new bookings and the crazy schedule, Swingin’ Dick had kind of reached his peak of performance and needed a hand. So we welcome from Mynamyr some help as our Booking and Press agent: Fouk Dupp. The good folks in the band will give Fouk a warm welcome and we’re sure she can take some of the big load off of Dick.

She’ll be handling all of our administrative details and will be the go-to agent when you need Dick at your event. Contact details remain the same and please feel free to contact Fouk for any further information or needs.

Well, right on the heels of Wilma deciding to leave the band, Dang had his visa expire and will be returning to Shanghai next week. We’d like to express our extreme gratitude to Dang-Lin Wang; he sure added some color and contrast to the band. Dang’s last gig with the band will be this Friday as Dick and the Crew swing into Peoria, IL; letting ‘r rip at the Corn Stock Theater for a guaranteed no-holes barred blowout. We know how some loved Dang-Lin Wang and his special swinging style–this’ll be your last chance to see him perform in the US. We’re not sure how Dang-Lin Wang is going to make out back in China, but all of us here are wishing him all the best in his travels and thanking him for his wonderful efforts for the band. His style of music was certainly unique and the Wang will be a hard act to follow.

Dick and the boys give a warm and rousing welcome to our new Jazz guitar player who comes to us after a long and successful military career. Colonel (retired) Beauregard (Bo) Angus will be joining us in the guitar section of the band as we trot eastward. Col. Angus has performed all over the world and his warm style is well known. The ladies especially love being entertained by Col. Angus–it’s always been a thrill for them– and we’re sure he’ll fit in quite well.
