Well ya can’t stop a hard chargin’ dick. Despite the diversion to Erie PA (and some unfortunate weather typical across the Allegheny Mountains) Swingin’ Dick got the band to State College on schedule ! Dick knew how all those college girls would’ve been disappointed if being deprived from Swingin’ Dick so he used his piloting skills to get the crew ‘in there’ on schedule and as expected.
Of course all were enthralled in having Swingin’ Dick at the ready and enjoyed it through the night. We’re grateful for the University Park police in making sure that things didn’t get out of hand. When college girls hear Swingin’ Dick is on station sometimes difficult things things happen and they storm the stage where Swingin’ Dick might be. Fortunately there were little conflagrations and ALL enjoyed Swingin’ Dick throughout the night. Dick Fitzwell served as an excellent announcer over KDIK clear channel AM and we’re glad he was onboard after the short notice trip to Erie, Pennsylvania.
