Whatta HUGE event ! Swingin’ Dick and the crew opened their 2026 season at the Zellie ballroom in beautiful downtown Zelienople Pennsylvania just last weekend. The crew in the band were in rare form while the party lasted all night. We’d like to thank the Zelienople denizens as well as the borough of Zelienople for the rousing welcome on the shores of the Connoquessing and their wonderful hospitality. KDIK’s clear channel broadcast microphones were there for a coast to coast broadcast taking Swingin’ Dick to all the citizens of the US !

We’d also like to thank our announcer Dick Fitzwell for volunteering his time and the good folks from KDIK AM for the coast to coast broadcast. And hope those of you tuning in enjoyed the performance !

To be sure the trip over wasn’t a piece of cake; Dick and his trusty copilot (with the band in the back) had to work their way around some serious weather and ground threats to get the Band to Butler County; but as always Dick came through. Whether it’s hooters or thunderstorms Dick has always been able to circumnavigate the terrain !

We all know Dick knows how to avoid threats and they made it just fine into Zelienople Muni ! Plenty of Swingin’ Dick fans at the airport — it was a wonderful meet and greet !

The night truly was a ‘Swingin’ Dick Suave’ night to remember and as such we especially want to thank the ladies for being so receptive to Swingin’ Dick (even if from time to time it fatigues Dick from being able to truly blow on the stand !). Dick and the crew will be heading northeast to State College PA for a big blowout on November 15th so college girls be on the lookout for Swingin’ Dick ! Week after (as long as the band can recover from a huge college party) We’ll be in Williamsport PA on the 22nd at the Starlight Ballroom and then off to Westfield, Pennsylvania to play on the bandstand on the 23rd. All are welcome at our Swingin’ Dick events !
