As most of you know, Swingin’ Dick went through a pretty rough patch lately over the last year. After some necessary surgery, his recovery was fraught with complications and down time physically. We at Swingin’ Dick’s are very grateful for your support and prayers during this trying time, and we think you all know you can’t keep a good Dick down !

So we are happy to announce a full recovery–Swingin’ Dick is back up and at ’em. Over the weekend Dick and the band played a Thanksgiving Weekend Extravaganza in Tulsa at the Chickasaw theatre downtown. And the ladies from the various nations as well as citizens from all over were rocking to the Swingin’ Dick sound. Not only was the Friday blowout a roaring success, but the band was able to make it to nearby Sulphur on Saturday with a surprise afternoon spectacular on the bandstand. Folks from miles around piled in to hear that Swingin’ Dick beat. And Dick had a chance to make a short tour of the beautiful Turner Falls area (which we highly recommend) as well as the national park there.

In band news, we’d like to welcome Lewis (Lew) Scrawtch who will be replacing Eubin on vocals (who decided to take a sabbatical to pursue his dream of nuclear engineering). We give a heartfelt ‘welcome aboard’ to Lew and know the ladies will really be digging the mellow tones and repertoire of Lew. Those in the music industry well know there’s nothing like the wonderful nature of Lew Scrawtch.
