Ouch !

Well, AFTER our rip-roaring session in Cuyohoga Falls, OH, Dick and the boys were returning to our beautiful hotel and unfortunately there were a group of nasty looking demonstrators outside yelling ‘my body my choice’ or some other LGBTQLMONP silliness. They accosted several band members; one particularly corpulent matron had on a “Proud Dyke” shirt (whatever that means; the only dykes Dick likes are the ones in Holland). In order to promote some levity to the situation, Dick decided to relate one of his famous limericks to the hostile ‘woman.’

“I once knew a lesbo named Spike

Who trucked her sex toys down the pike

When I asked a question

About her profession

Said she “I’m a fake-Dick-Van-Dyke !”

Apparently THIS individual possessed neither an eclectic streak nor a sense of humor……

In any case, it wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last time old Dick gets slapped !

And no harm done.

We look forward to our Saturday concert in Dubuque, IA at the Star Theater and are sure the good citizens of Dubuque won’t abuse Dick in this manner ! Come see Swingin’ Dick and enjoy that incredible Swingin’ Dick rhythm. When Swingin’ Dick’s around there’s ALWAYS much pleasure to be had.
